FAQ
Dye Process
I use acid dyes that are non-toxic. All yarn is presoaked and submersed and/or speckled dyed, followed by a minimum of two rinses to wash out any excess dye. The last step is to hang dry all yarn prior to skeining. Each skein is hand dyed and unique. While I use a recipe and batch dye in order to reduce differences between skeins, you will see slightly different patterns and concentrations of color. If ordering yarn for a specific project, it is recommended that you purchase all the yarn at once so the yarn comes from the same dye batch. Different bases, weaves, and weights will also produce a different dye effect.
I do my best to take pictures that completely represent the colorway. Cameras/monitors/phones all vary in the color that they display. So please note that the picture may not be the exact color of the yarn.
Bleeding and Dye Rub Off
For yarns that are dark in color or dyed with blues/blacks/reds, bleeding may occur. If you are combining this yarn with another, it is recommended that you swatch and wash to check for bleeding. If you notice bleeding, or color rubbing off when you winding, reform back into a skein and rinse in water (and light soap if desired) until the water runs clear. Washing the completed project with a color catcher will also mitigate color transfer. Send me a note if you notice excessive bleeding and dye rub off after you wash the skein. This will help me tailor or nix colorways that use dyes susceptible to bleeding or rub off.
Care Instructions
It is recommended that you handwash the completed projects in cold water, even if the fiber is made of Superwash. Always lay flat to dry.

International Customers
Beware that international customers are responsible for any tax/duties of this product when it goes through customs, including VAT. This means that what you pay today may not be the final price. If you do not pay the item gets returned and the shop charged for the extra shipping as a result, you will be banned from making a purchase in the future.
Please note that at this time I am not shipping to the United Kingdom. Recent VAT changes have made it more difficult for international sellers. If you are from the United Kingdom and may be interested in purchasing in the future, send me a note so I can gauge interest. I may start selling to UK residents if there is a high enough interest that outweighs all the hurdles of becoming UK VAT compliant. If I still have the Etsy shop running, there is a possibility to purchase through there. Etsy automatically collects VAT.
Please note that at this time I am not shipping to Germany. The VerpackG law requires all businesses no matter the size or location to register and pay yearly fees for sending any packaging material into the country. If you are not registered then the fine is astronomical! Id you are from Germany and may be interested in purchasing in the future, send me a note so I can gauge interest. I may start selling to German residents if there is a high enough interest that outweighs all the hurdles of becoming VerpackG compliant.
